Oceana Cottages in North Truro was built in the 1950s as White Village by the Dias family. The Mota family bought White Village from the Dias family in 1976. As a good-faith gesture to the legacy of Mrs. Dias, she was given a cottage by the sea until the day she passed on.

From 1976 to 2017, there was another managerial administration that was technology impaired. In 2017, the Mota family took over fully and changed the name to Oceana Cottages. From this point on, Oceana Cottages ceased to have a pen-and-paper reservation system and moved into the 21st century with a computerized reservation system, able to accept credit cards.

The current management comes from a tourist/hospitality background of many years. She brings her wisdom and knowledge along with her exceptional guest services to increase the success of the cottages.

Massive improvements have continued to be made, seen and unseen, to each cottage, since the Autumn of 2017. In 2021, all the cottages were refreshed with new decor, from the Autumn colors that it had to the new summer-like colors. The pictures on our site will reflect the changes very soon.

We invite you to come and view and enjoy these improvements for yourself while you spend your days relaxing on the beach and the nights enjoying the sights and sounds of the beachfront.

We found the Oceana Cottages on the web when we were looking for a place to stay for a weekend getaway that was on the water. We have vacationed all our lives in mid and upper cape and have never stayed in any of the outer cape towns. Looking for something different, we decided on Truro. Oceana stood out as something we were looking for. The price was great and the cottages looked like a perfect spot. Upon arriving and checking in, we immediately took in the gorgeous view. Red Adirondack chairs line the edge overlooking the ocean. We stayed in the "Catfish" cottage #20 - Perfect for two. A small kitchen area with a small refrigerator, toaster, keurig one cup, microwave and two electric stove burners - all plates, cups, glasses, utensils and cookware were stocked as well. More than enough for our weekend. The view from the kitchen windows is breathtaking. A small partition separates the kitchen area from the bedroom. We had a double bed, with a small dresser and closet. The bathroom off the bedroom was very clean. Great shower and water pressure. Nothing beats falling asleep to the sound of the waves crashing just outside the cottage. Close proximity to restaurants and a short drive to all the shops and restaurants in Provincetown. My favorite time was sitting outside with my book and a cup of coffee in the morning. We will definitely be back.

This place was AWESOME! I really couldn't have asked for a better place to be on the Cape! I have always wanted to stay here over the years but it was always booked when I called. So this year I tryed really early and got in. What a great place to be. Every morning we would wake up and walk out to a window looking out on the ocean and a veiw of the bay.It was amazing to sit out every morning with your coffee looking at the water and listening to the ocean. My son played on the beach all day. This is where I want to be every year and I booked again for the next year too.If your looking for fancy and room service this ISN'T for you but if you want a relaxing vacation this is it! Can't wait to go back!

I have been staying at White Village since I was 9 yrs old now 25 years later I still go back every year. It is the most beautiful location you could find and the lack of tv and phone give you a chance to really get away from the world and take an actual vacation. Everything you need is readily available in the cottage kitchen so you can skip the restaurants and cook at the cottage and eat while watching the waves crash on the beach. You can't get more scenic and the price is right for the location. Every year I go back the same week and the same guests are staying that were there the previous year. Repeat guest loyalty alone speaks volumes for White Village.

Ok these are dated and very rustic, no phones (Thank you) and no TV (extra Thank you) but these iconic cottages are waterside and have a view of Provincetown that is just sublime. You can walk the street of P-town or visit the Provincelands or beach it at so many locations close by. We come every year to completely unwind and refresh. Clean towels everyday I delight in watching the water change colors and disposition throughout the day. Kitchen is well appointed and with just a few touch from home like cloth table cloth and little Christmas lights it can be transformed into a special spot to totally relax. Highly recommend Cottage number nine which has two bedrooms and six windows on the water.

Congrats to you on the peaceful transfer of ownership. We had a perfect 3 week vacation and the place looked wonderful. It may be old but updates were great. It is a little piece of heaven as you watch the bay! Peaceful and stress free. The family owners created an atmosphere that was welcoming and loving. Thanks again and see you next year.!
